Former Mokama MLA Anant Singh has been released from jail and granted a 15-day parole, causing a stir in Patna. Singh emerged from prison at 4:45 am on Sunday, greeted by a throng of eager supporters who had been anticipating his release. The parole, reportedly granted for land distribution purposes, prompted a massive gathering of supporters upon his arrival, with a convoy escorting him to Barh subdivision where he was welcomed with flower garlands.

Singh, addressing the media after his release, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and stated his intention to visit Ladma village after meeting with the public. The former MLA's release has injected further intrigue into the upcoming Munger Lok Sabha elections, particularly as Singh has already pledged support to Lalan Singh, former national president of NDA-backed JDU. Despite being an RJD MLA, Singh's wife Neelam Devi, currently serving as MLA from Mokama, has aligned with the NDA, further complicating the political landscape in Bihar.
